A passionate camper shares his personal experience with the Redodo LiFePO4 12V 100Ah batteries for off-grid travel. Here’s his detailed story—authentic, practical, and full of exciting insights:
Hello, I’m back to share my experience with Redodo LiFePO4 batteries. We use our vintage camper a lot and mostly stay off-grid, only occasionally at campsites—and only when absolutely necessary.
In February, we installed our first Redodo LiFePO4 12V 100Ah battery (New Look). With it, I powered a 220V compressor fridge without any worries about power supply. We also used the battery for a vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, and more, and it always performed exceptionally well—we were genuinely impressed. In the mornings, we always had power, and the battery easily got us through the night.
As it goes, when my wife realized there was even more power available, she started using a 1500W air fryer. That’s when we realized we needed to expand our system. So, we ordered another Redodo 100Ah battery, this time the new model with an improved BMS. Before connecting the new battery, I disconnected and fully charged the old one. Then, I fully charged the new battery and left both batteries connected in parallel without any load for 48 hours, exactly as instructed in the manual, to allow the two BMS units to balance. In the end, both batteries had the same voltage. After that, I installed and connected them in parallel according to the wiring diagram in the manual. I’d like to thank Redodo for their excellent support.
Finally, we started our tests: The 220V fridge runs 24/7, and we also operate the 1500W air fryer—everything works flawlessly. The Redodo Battery Monitor shows me that the battery can power the air fryer for about 2 hours. Our test ran at 200°C for 10 minutes. We also bought a 220V, 600W vacuum cleaner to clean the camper and had no issues—I could vacuum for hours without the batteries giving up. The batteries never showed weakness and always delivered reliable power.
With the start of summer, we bought a portable air conditioner with a power rating of 680W (220V). Thanks to the Redodo Battery Monitor, I noticed that the air conditioner actually only consumes about 550W. With this, I can run the air conditioner for 6 to 7 hours without needing to recharge the batteries—a huge joy for us, as we travel off-grid. Having a bit of cool air is fantastic!
We also tried running the air fryer and the air conditioner simultaneously. The power draw was 1.4 kW, and the batteries delivered the power without any issues—it was truly impressive. Additionally, my wife uses a 1300W hair dryer (220V) for about 10 minutes without any problems. The batteries are simply outstanding.
I can confidently say that Redodo batteries are fantastic and surprise me every day. Finally, we can use larger appliances in our camper without fear of power shortages.
I highly recommend Redodo batteries and accessories to everyone. The customer service has always been there for me and is always available—top-notch service, simply wow.
Thank you, Redodo!
