Passion for Fishing and the Eco-Friendly Solution: Stefano's Journey to Using LiFePO4 Batteries for Kayaking
Hello, my name is Stefano, and I live in Italy. I'm a tradesman, specifically a butcher. Even as a young boy, I was always on the move, practicing several sports, and learning to play the saxophone. As I grew older, I gradually put my hobbies and sports aside, but I never gave up music and fishing.
I've been a passionate angler since childhood, which I probably inherited from someone—or rather, perhaps from a certain cartoon that inspired me. His name is Sampey! I did a lot of fishing from the shore, or more precisely, from the high cliff.
My passion then drove me to equip an inflatable boat for fishing, but since I didn't have much time, it wasn't the best financial choice. In recent years, kayak fishing has become increasingly popular in Italy – a fascinating technique that allows you to experience the water up close, immerse yourself in nature, and travel without the noise of a motor, all in a completely environmentally friendly way. But a kayak is still a kayak, and the sea can quickly become rough and there can be strong currents, so you always have to be very careful. This is where a helper comes in that can support us: the beloved electric motor.
To power this motor, I researched online and on YouTube, and all the advice I got was to install a good LiFePO4 battery. So my search for a good battery began – there are so many. I researched online and on YouTube and was horrified by the open batteries, as I know absolutely nothing about batteries. Then I came across a brand that had received a lot of positive reviews on YouTube. Many tests were conducted to determine if the amperage was actually correct, how the battery was constructed internally, the BMS, the safety, the waterproofness – and this battery met all of these requirements. That's how I discovered Redodo, the battery that would meet all my needs.
I contacted the company to make the purchase, and they responded immediately. I was advised by a person who helped me step by step with the purchase. Even after the sale, I was contacted by Elle, a fantastic and knowledgeable person, who advised me on purchasing the charger and choosing the cables for my use, and who cleared up all my doubts as a layperson.
I now have my excellent Redodo battery and am very happy with it. I would make this purchase again 100 times. My trips usually last 4 or 5 hours, and with my engine at top speed, the battery was still at 50% charge upon return – very impressive, more than satisfactory. Therefore, I can only recommend this battery to anyone who needs it, as it's an excellent choice in terms of brand, warranty, and customer service. This is the story of how I discovered and purchased my Redodo battery.
