Solar Newbie's Success Story: Redodos Photovoltaic Systems and LiFePO4 Batteries

I'm a tech enthusiast and recently decided to replace my 1.5 kW UPS.

The system can provide continuous DC power for 36 hours during a power outage. To achieve this goal, I chose LiFePO4 batteries. LiFePO4 batteries are characterized by high energy density and a long service life, making them a reliable backup power source.

Since this system will use one or two batteries (currently a 100 Ah battery) and will be somewhat expensive, I hope to find a brand that meets my needs. Of the many brands, Redodo impressed me the most. The brand has a good reputation in the market, so I chose their products.

Once I got this system up and running, everything worked perfectly. However, since this is my first LiFePO4 battery system, I'm not yet familiar with the other aspects. I hope this battery will continue to function reliably. I plan to expand the system from 2 to 4 solar panels with a total output of up to 800 watts and LiFePO4 batteries with at least 200 Ah to increase the charging capacity and service life.

I built the system myself and installed 2 solar panels with a total of 400 watts. I used a waterproof electrical distribution board with 24 modules and had connectors, solar cables, surge protectors, and circuit breakers ready for use.

I have implemented several safety measures for the system. I used fuses, circuit breakers, and surge protectors to protect the electronics and batteries. I also used enclosures and cable glands to protect the solar connectors and cables from environmental influences. Additionally, I used several fuses as an additional protective measure. I believe these measures can effectively reduce potential risks and ensure the reliability and safety of the system.

My 12V system will be used to replace the DC power supplies of alarm systems, surveillance cameras, and other devices that require DC power. I have two 200-watt, 12-volt solar panels and plan to change the wiring from a 2.5 mm² two-wire cable to a special 6 mm² cable. This will ensure the system can better absorb solar energy and increase charging efficiency.

In summary, I attach great importance to the design and safety of the system and take various measures to ensure its reliability. Although I have implemented many safety measures, I still recommend consulting a professional engineer or electrician before making any modifications or installing new equipment to ensure that the system is designed and operated in accordance with applicable safety standards and regulations.

As a technology-savvy and safety-conscious consumer, I am very satisfied with my choice of the Redodo photovoltaic system and LiFePO4 batteries. I hope to share my positive experience with Redodo's photovoltaic systems and LifePo4 batteries with others and to give useful advice to my friends who have similar requirements for a reliable backup power system.
