My name is Robert, I'm from Carinthia, Austria, and I've been operating a small, self-sufficient photovoltaic system for 3 years now.
From July 2022 to mid-August 2023, I was able to achieve even better utilization of the REDODO batteries by upgrading my solar modules from 1.70 kW/h to 3.12 kW/h peak.
Taking into account the months from November to February (heavy fog and snow), I have an average of 70% less solar power available, but I achieve an annual average electricity savings of 3.55 kW/h per day.
The practical experience of using the PV storage system from October 1, 2022, to October 1, 2023, has shown the following:
Total annual electricity consumption = 3,030.0 kW/h – of which 1,296 kW/h = 42.75% PV electricity savings!
I'm completely convinced and enthusiastic about REDODO's excellent price/performance ratio, and that's why I ordered two additional REDODO batteries, each with a capacity of 3,840 Wh (12.8 V/300 Ah), to expand my storage in August 2023. As usual with REDODO, they were delivered to me within a few business days in the top quality I expected.
My PV system data
18 solar modules – total output upgraded from 1.7 kW/h to 2.6 kW/h peak
2 VICTRON Phoenix inverters 12V/3000VA (2,400 W) continuous output
7 VICTRON MPPT solar charge controllers (5 active)
1 VICTRON CERBO GX module – for remote monitoring
3 12V/200Ah lead/gel solar batteries, each with 2,400 Wh (7,200 Wh)
5 12.8V/300Ah LifePo4 batteries, each with 3,840 Wh (total: 19,200 Wh) from REDODO
The solar power is used by the following appliances:
washing machine, fully automatic coffee machine, dishwasher, TV, and sound system Heating/gas boiler, 2 pellet stoves, induction cooktop, dehumidifier, refrigerator, and other small appliances, power tools, and more.
A TOP result for me! PRODUCT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
This semi-autonomous and possible use of REDODO products has opened up completely new dimensions for me, and very importantly, in the event of a blackout!
I will report back to you on my experiences annually.
Hence the idea and conviction to also do something good for the environment with my small off-grid PV system!
Attached are a few pictures of the complete conversion of my PV system in April 2023.
